Gedenken an die Opfer des rassistischen & sexisistischen Anschlags in der Gegend um Atlanta vom 16.03.2021
Am 16. März jährt sich der rassistische & sexistische Anschlag auf Spa-Mitarbeiter*innen in der Gegend um Atlanta, Georgia/USA. Wir, als Teil der asiatischen Diaspora in Deutschland, wollen den Anlass nehmen, um zusammenzukommen & eine Mahnwache in Gedenken an die acht Opfer, von denen sechs asiatische Frauen waren, & im Kampf gegen die kapitalistischen, rassistischen & sexistisch patriarchalen Strukturen, in den USA, Deutschland & global zu halten.
In Gedenken an Daoyou Feng, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Soon Chung Park, Xiaojie Tan, Yong Ae Yue, Delaina Ashley Yaun, Paul Andre Michels.
Mahnwache
In Solidarität mit den Opfern & deren Angehörigen veranstalten wir eine Mahnwache mit Redebeiträgen & Performances:
WANN: Samstag, den 19. März 2022 von 13:00 bis 15:30 Uhr
WO: an der Friedensstatue in Berlin-Moabit (Ecke Birkenstraße/Bremer Straße)
Zur Mahnwache sind alle Menschen herzlich eingeladen!
Außerdem wird es nach den Redebeiträgen & Performances einen Community Space geben. Zu diesem Community Space laden wir alle Menschen herzlich ein, die negativ von Rassismus gegen ostasiatisch und südostasiatisch gelesene Menschen betroffen sind, um sich bei Tee, Snacks & Musik kennenzulernen, auszutauschen & zu vernetzen.
Wir freuen uns sehr, euch alle zahlreich auf der Mahnwache & auch auf dem Community Space zu sehen!

Remembering the victims of the racist and sexist attack in the Atlanta area on March 16, 2021.
March 16 marks the one-year anniversary of the racist and sexist attack on spa workers in the Atlanta area, Georgia/USA. We, as part of the Asian diaspora in Germany, want to take the occasion to come together and hold a vigil in memory of the eight victims, six of whom were Asian women, and in resistance against the capitalist, racist, and sexist patriarchal structures in the USA, Germany, and globally.
In memory of Daoyou Feng, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Soon Chung Park, Xiaojie Tan, Yong Ae Yue, Delaina Ashley Yaun, Paul Andre Michels.
VIGIL
In solidarity with the victims and their families, we will hold a vigil with speeches and performers (the speakers and performers will be announced soon).
DATE: Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm
WHERE: at the Statue of Peace / Friedensstatue in Berlin-Moabit (corner of Birkenstraße and Bremer Straße)
In addition, there will be a community space after the speeches and performances. To this community space we warmly invite all people who are negatively affected by racism against East Asian- and Southeast Asian-perceived people to meet, exchange and connect over tea, snacks, and music.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all in large numbers at the vigil and also at the Community Space! Please spread the news and share the info about the vigil!
